NYIGF 2012: Curious About: Juratoys

New York International Gift Fair 2012
WHO: Juratoys

TOOLS: Tools will be discussed if there is a review

Look out Thomas the Tank Engine.  There is a new storytelling train set headed down the track.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Juratoys booth.  They sell the toys that sport the Janod brand.  You may have seen a Janod toy in a story about retailers who like Toys are Tools.

The Janod booth was full of beautiful surprises.   First, I got a chance to look at the Body Magnets which is something I really want to have on my magnetic wall of magic.   Secondly, I found their train sets delightful.  Not only did the prices sound REALLY AFFORDABLE but you can use the packaging as part of the pretend play.  It sounds like that might be a big trend this year as we all try to go green.... kids have long known that the box is just as fun so the companies have listened and now they present boxes that not only provide the storage opportunity but they are so well-designed that they equally function as play items.   AWESOME!!!

Love the circus set.  It promotes storytelling with lots of actions that do not have to be dreamed up which I feel is less intimidating and less stressful for kids who have a hard time at pretend play.
I don't see too many clown in toys anymore, do you?  I love this one.
Pretend play is what it's all about.
That circus train is something else!

That is one beautiful train set.

Oh, if my kid was 2-3 years old.....  but I do have nephews!  Hooray!

Love memory games.  This art is simple but far from boring.
I like thick cards more than I like Ryan Gosling.
This picture is blurry but I'm sure the cuteness is obvious.  It's even a pull toy- how developmentally convenient.  That should crossover developmental stages, for sure!
As far as I know, the truck in the back is still very popular at Raising Astoria, an awesome baby, maternity, and toy store.
Okay, this is not really for the Toys are Tools age range (3-12) however, you have to agree with me, the chunky characteristics which occupational therapists would probably like very much is just as amazing as these gorgeous colors.  Goodbye primary colors!  Hello color scheme that attracts grown-ups to keep playing with the kids!
