Toy Fair 2013: Curious About Curious Chef

Curious Chef, where have you been all my life (as a mother)????

WHAT: Curious Chef
Curious About: knives, pizza cutters, baking sets, the Williams-Sonoma for kids only?, this is FANTASTIC

I am absolutely ELATED to discover Curious Chef.  I want to first say THANK YOU to the founder of this company.  I can't tell you how necessary this is in my life.  I grew up in a family of restaurateurs and either we are expert cooks and/or eaters.  (I am the latter).  We all have discerning palates but my kids......... ARGH.... they are soooooooooooooooooooo picky.  It is heartbreaking.  I need them to personally invest in what goes on their plate and thankfully, they love to cook!

 

BUT I have seen magical things happen when I let them do the cooking.  Suddenly they have an appetitite that resembles that of a human being.  I love how I can dig my fingers on the blade but I'm safe.  I haven't tried cutting it yet but I have HIGH hopes for this.  Look at that caddy of cook's tools for kids.  I have NO space in my kitchen but will gladly make some for this. 

A kit for boys?  Cute!  Most chefs are still men.  Restaurant kitchens are rough places to train but it can make a chef out of some.
